We have recently been given a 4 star rating by James Halliday, 1 up from last year and hope to go up one better next time. Also good news to see is the 'special value' for the SBS, Pinot Noir & SB.
We will soon be bottling the 2010 whites of SB & SBS.
The wine award shows are also underway and we'll see what the wine present us with.

2009 has been a fantastic year for Oceans Estate,winning up to 11 medals with the 2007 Cabernet Merlot picking up 2 Silver and 3 Bronze, 2007 Merlot receiving 2 Bronze, 2009 Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2 Bronze, 2008 Chardonnay 1 bronze and 2008 Cabernet Merlot 1 Bronze.

Every year in Australia, 1 in 300 babies, like Riley Johnstone, is born into a world of silence.

When Riley was born in a leap year on 29 February 2008, his parents thought that he would be a very special child. Little did they know that he would be special for an unexpected reason!

Riley's hearing loss was detected at birth through Telethon Speech & Hearing's newborn screen program at SJOG Murdoch. Further tests followed and with heavy hearts and lots of tears, Riley's parents, Greg and Michelle, faced the painful reality that their beautiful baby boy suffered from hearing impairment.

Riley's parents decided that the best option for their son was Telethon Speech & Hearing's Chatterbox program where he would develop listening and speaking skills with help from a team of intervention specialists.

Riley is now 19 months and he runs, plays and communicates like any child his age.

“The Chatterbox team was very understanding, welcoming and comforting. Telethon Speech & Hearing has made a world of difference to our family and we have come a long way with their guidance and support,” said Michelle.

The 2007 Sauvignon Blanc is nearly sold out. It is your last chance to get the Fifth best SB from the 2007 Melbourne wine show. The 2008 wine will follow directly. Although the styles are very similar, Frank thinks the 2008 is a better wine. 'It shows greater depth of fruit' was the comment.
